What is CLC Block?

CLC Block Plant (also known as foam concrete & cellular lightweight concrete) is an eco-friendly construction material. Its use eliminates the need to transport, handle and install aggregates and other heavy materials, thus reducing building costs. It also provides excellent thermal insulation properties, which reduces energy costs. Additionally, it is highly resistant to fire and pests, making it an ideal choice for modern homes.

A cellular light weight concrete block manufacturing plant consists of a mixer, which mixes cement with water and foaming agent to produce a slurry. The slurry is then poured into assembled moulds of blocks to form the final product. The block molds are usually made of steel or aluminium, which ensures durability and strength.

The foaming agent used in a clc block production line is a high-performing, protein-based compound that creates stable foam. It is specifically formulated for operation with special equipment called a foam generator. The resulting foam is more consistent and higher in strength than conventional concrete, and its curing speed can be accelerated.

CLC blocks are very light in nature, with density ranging from 300 to 1800 Kg/m3. They are three times lighter than clay or fly ash bricks and can be transported quickly. They also require less labour and water to bond them together, which further reduces the overall construction costs. In addition, they provide excellent sound and thermal insulation, reducing the energy required for heating and air conditioning. These blocks are also eco-friendly, as they use waste products like fly ash in their production and don’t release harmful effluents into the ground or water.
